What are the top features of this baby monitor?

The first feature on the Sony 900MHz BabyCall Nursery Monitor is the sound quality.  You will get very clear sound with a high sensitivity.  This means that you will hear even the smallest noises that your baby makes.  Also, there are 2 different modes to choose from.  The regular mode lets you hear every noise in the room, while the voice activated mode only alerts you when your baby or another person makes a noise.

While the Sony 900MHz BabyCall Nursery Monitor isn’t free from static and interference, it does have 27 channels to choose from, so you’re much more likely to find one that is completely clear.  Another feature is the sound lights that alert you visually when your baby is making noise, even if you don’t have the audio on. 

One of the great features of the Sony 900MHz BabyCall Nursery Monitor is that it’s super convenient.  It comes with rechargeable batters as well as an adapter, so you can carry it around with your or leave it stationary to conserve battery power.  It also has a belt clip for hands free carrying.  Last, but not least, the receiver is water resistant, so you can place it in rooms like the bathroom without worry.

Are there any problems or concerns with using this baby monitor?

The Sony BabyCall Nursery Monitor uses a 900MHz frequency.  This definitely cuts down on the static and interference from other electronic devices compared to monitors that use a 49MHz frequency.  However, depending on the devices in your home, you can still get quite a bit of interference and static, which can be annoying and make hearing your baby difficult at times.

Another problem with the Sony 900MHz BabyCall Nursery Monitor is the out of range alarm.  This alarm beeps to let you know when you are out of range.  Unfortunately, the range for this monitor is not the best, and the alarm goes off often, even when you are in range and still able to clearly hear your baby.  Hopefully, this is a defect that Sony will fix soon.
