The Philips Avent Basic Baby Monitor with DECT Technology is a sleek and simple to use monitor that allows you to hear any noise your baby makes when you’re not in the room.  You can read our full review of the Philips Avent Basic Baby Monitor below.

What are the top features of this baby monitor?

While the Philips Avent Basic Baby Monitor has many great features, the most important is probably the DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication) Technology, which scans over 100 channels.  This means that you will get crystal clear sound over a completely secure connection without any static or interference.

Another feature that is not standard on most baby monitors is the ability to communicate with your baby through the monitor.  This way you can not only hear your baby when it makes noise, you can also talk to them through the monitor as well.  This can come in handy when you need to reassure your baby with your voice but can’t make it into the room right away.

Besides these two features, the Philips Avent Basic Baby Monitor has a number of other smaller features as well.  The first is sound lights, which uses lights instead of audio to notify you of any noise in the room.

The monitor also gives you the ability to change the sensitivity level, so you can hear everything, even breathing, or just loud noises like crying.  Finally, the baby monitor also comes with rechargeable batteries that last up to 24 hours without needing to be recharged.

Are there any problems or concerns with using this baby monitor?

There are really very few issues with the Philips Avent Basic Baby Monitor.  The only real problem that some parents notice is that the sound is not as loud as it could be.  So, if you’re in a noisy room, you may not hear every sound your child makes.  However, you can change the sensitivity level on the unit, and this may take care of the problem.

The only other minor issue is that the Philips Avent Basic Baby Monitor is portable but doesn’t come with any type of clip you can use to carry around the unit hands-free.  So, you will need to carry the unit by hand from room to room, and then set it down when you need to use your hands.  Of course, this is definitely a minor concern considering all of the great features it offers.

Is this baby monitor a good choice?

If you don’t mind spending the money, the Philips Avent Basic Baby Monitor is one of the best choices available.  You’ll get crystal clear sound with zero interference.  There are also a number of other features that make this monitor superior to others on the market.  If you would like to learn more about the Philips Avent Basic Baby Monitor with DECT Technology, you can click on the link below to visit the website.
